Building Surveyor or Architectural Technologist RICS needed in Exeter!
We are looking for a Building Surveyor or Architectural Technologist RICS (or equivalent), to work for the Public Sector in Exeter.
The anticipated contract duration will be approximately three months from the successful candidate's starting date.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a small team working on public buildings in the Exeter area.
The temporary role involves the specification, scheduling and drawings, as well as contract administration of the work, to carry out alterations to mitigate fire risk assessment actions at several sites.
Previous experience of working on historic buildings is required. As a key element of this role, experience in producing CAD plans to a high standard within deadline is important as is the ability to deal with people day-to-day e.g. with contractors, facilities managers and other colleagues.
The ideal Building Surveyor/Architectural Technologist will have a relevant surveying degree, be a full member with a recognised professional body (CIOB or RICS) and be able to turn their hand quickly to dealing with the fire safety issues at a variety of medium to large non-housing sites.
Dealing with managers of facilities, and their user's requirements.
Full time working 37 hours per week and the hourly rate is negotiable.
Driving licence is a must.
